The California consist of 12 camps and in the process of developing a new camp in Northern California. We are proud to report 43 new members since January of 2016. Several of our Members and camps are in the Cleburne Level for heritage defense.

The California Division holds an annual reunion / convention every March in Bakersfield. We were honored to have CiC Kelly Barrow, ATM Commander Charles Lauret, ATM Adjutant George Germillion and ATM Council Paul Gambling at our annual convention / reunion, March 11-13, 2016. Camp Commander Jim Stephens, Camp 302, Father A. J. Ryan was able to hand a $5000 check to CiC Barrows for Heritage defense. Commander Stephens had his SCV Vietnam service medal pinned on by CiC Barrows during our annual banquet.

Camp 1804, has set a standard for placing monuments and markers dedicated to our Confederate ancestors. Camp 1804 manages to place a monument or marker every year. Kudos to the men of Camp 1804.

Camps in the division have been active in defending our heritage raising money and awareness, utilizing, Letter writing campaigns to local politicians and businesses, blogs and social media. The Division has a new Facebook page that is rapidly growing with followers.

The Division has also been active in showing the colors and making our marks in local communities. Camp 1770, sets a high standard of community involvement with food and clothing drives, shining a very positive light on the SCV. The camp's throughout the division participate in local parades, Poker runs, reenactments, information booths, providing honor guards for memorial services. The camps also conducted memorial services, ceremonies and social events to celebrate and honor Confederate Heritage Month.
